DAY FOUR~ Invitation to Live Justly
Hebrews 13: 1- 6 (NKJV)
“Let brotherly love continue. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.
Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say:
“The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
My Lesson~ My Sweet Bella knows no strangers, only friends. She greets everyone eagerly with her little pink tongue quick to kiss you with, a wiggly body, and an invitation to, “hold me!”. This puppy is no respecter of race, gender, or religion. When Bella meets anyone, she’s not looking for what toys they may have or anything they can materially give her, for she offers her attention and love regardless. She holds no prejudice or preconceived notions, rather simply loves you because you’re...you.
Oh, that I could love and live with such a heart as that; that I would welcome, give attention to, and care for those God places in my path with equal fervor. To act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with my God. (Micah 6:8)
Prayer~ Father, thank you for forgiving me. That through Jesus’s sacrifice, you see me through His righteousness -- just as if I’ve never sinned. Help me see others through Your eyes. Show me where you want me to be Your hands and feet today. In His precious and Holy name, Amen.
Invitation~ Who is God inviting me to love today and what does that look like to love them well?
